Exceptional Pitcher from master ceramicist, Jean Gerbino (1876-1966). Gerbino developed a mosaic technique of using small bits of various colored clays joined in sheets like a jigsaw puzzle which he formed in molds. The pieces were then fired with a clear glaze. This piece is beige and brown with a little bit of light blue. Maker's mark on underside. Made in Vallauris, France.
